On Friday afternoons, Charlie, Mick and Darren come to our school. We go out to the playground and do a warm-up called traffic lights. in traffic lights, if Charlie holds up a green cone you run around and if he holds up a red one you stop running.
When the yellow one is held up, you get ready to move. After our warm-up games we play Bulldog. To play Bulldog, two people are on. They stand opposite the rest of the players and when Charlie shouts "Bulldog", you have to run past the two people that are on and get to the other side without getting caught. If you get caught you have to be on. Everyone likes learning new Gaelic skills. It's good fun!
Thanks to Mick and Darren from Robert Emmets and Charlie Byrne from the Donegal County Board.

Every Wednesday, Brendan, our gymnastics teacher comes to the school. We do it in Miss Carlin's room. The tables are cleared and Brendan puts the mats down. To begin with we do warm up exercises such as tuck jumps, straight jumps and shoulder stands.
After a few minutes we do forward rolls, bunny hops and roll to stand. Every couple of weeks Brendan teaches us new moves.
.
The most recent moves we learned are kick-up handstands and straight-handstands. Everyone enjoys gymnastics, It's great fun!
Swimming Lessons:
Written by Sophie McCrory.
My name is Sophie . I am nine years old and I am in third class. This is my first year to do swimming lessons with my school. The other classes are 4th, 5th and 6th. We all travel on Wednesdays at 11.30 to Riversdale, Strabane, Co. Tyrone.
We all go by bus with our principal, Mrs. McConnell and Shauna. It's always good fun on the bus. We sit beside our friends and talk.
When we arrive at the pool, we change into our swimming gear and shower. Then it's time for our lesson to start.
The pool is really cold at the start but we heat up quickly. Our swimming teacher is called Vincent. We learn to swim forwards and backwards. At the end of the lessons we get to play for five minutes.
Then we have to shower and change quickly before heading back to school.
I reallly enjoy my swimming lessons and can't wait for next year!
