Mrs. Burke teaches 2nd, 3rd and 4th Classes.

Welcome back to school  everyone.I hope you enjoyed the summer holidays and are ready for another fun filled year of learning.

  We celebrated Roald Dahl day on 13th September, to mark 100 years since the  birth of this great writer.

 We are reading Charlie and the Chocolate factory in class and all the children received a little surprise in their wonka bar that evening. Hope you all enjoyed your free evening!! Check out our gigantic WONKA bar. 

Tin whistle lessons have started in 1st and 2nd classes. First class are learning new notes   d   , e   f#.

Second class are learning  Óró sé do bheatha abhaile. 

5 minutes each night is all it takes to make you a GREAT tin whistle player.

A very important area of play involves building with construction toys of different kinds. This is an important creative and learning experience. Construction toys offer open- end opportunities for children to DESIGN and CREATE imaginative structures.

*capacity for creative, divergent thinking.

*social and language skills.

 We are so lucky to have a   great supply of  good quality construction toys in our room. We have lego, K-nex and magsnaps.  The children enjoy playing with these in the morning and  during golden time. Check out some of the great creations.
